Attached you will find your child’s gradual entry schedule for the first 2 weeks in September. Full days begin on Monday September 15th (8:45 am – 2:52 pm).
There are 2 groups that have been divided by your child’s LAST name. These groups are just for September 3rd , 4th and 5th of gradual entry. All students will be together beginning Sept 9th.
GROUP 1: Last names that begin with A – K
GROUP 2: Last names that begin with L – Z

Tuesday, September 2nd

Kindergarten Orientation

Please note that kindergarten students DO NOT attend this orientation.

Your orientation is in Room 17 (across from the playground)

This will be a brief orientation to go over the gradual entry schedule, school routines (e.g., bell schedule), school supplies, and general reminders to ensure a successful beginning to the year.

After our orientation, you will be asked to sign up for a Welcoming Conversation later in the week.

Wednesday, September 3rd

Start of Gradual Entry Schedule.

Your child has been assigned to a group for our gradual entry. If your child has the last name A – K they are in group 1. If their last names begins with L-Z they are in group 2.

Refer to the schedule attached for the first 2 weeks of school as we transition toward full days.

We will review this document during our Kindergarten Orientation on September 2nd.

Welcoming Conversations

A Welcoming Conversation is a 10-minute meeting between parents and myself, that offers an excellent opportunity for us to discuss your child and for you to share any concerns or ask any questions about kindergarten!

You will have the opportunity to sign up for this at the Orientation on Tuesday September 2nd.

Kindergarten Potluck

On Monday September 8th all the École Inman Elementary School Kindergarten families will have the opportunity to connect in the Gym for an optional potluck beginning at 11:00 am!

We understand that not all families will be able to accommodate this in your busy schedules! We believe this is a wonderful opportunity to build community and make connections with other families but know it is completely optional!

If you are able to attend and want to provide a food item, that would be so appreciated! We just ask that you label clearly if there are any common allergens in your food item (dairy, gluten, eggs) and we ask that you do not bring food with nuts in it.

I have also attached the presentation from “Welcome to K”, 3 helpful QR codes, a supply list, the welcome to K presentation, and the school calendar.
Please note students will not be needing headphones in my classroom as we do not use ipads.
